Again as previous comments, said his name was Micheal and that the TalkTalk router was down loading malicious virus and can I open up my computer. I said I would switch off the router and he hung up. This is the second time they have called
recieved a call from HSBC today. somethin about upgrading the "ordinary" account to "premium". well, I don t like being cold called so I hang up. a day later I phoned HSBC. they told I hadn t been called. so..... question... are the guys at HSBC liars or, and more likely, this call had the sole purpose of aquiring account details and so on, aka phishing.

I was getting calls from this number daily. I blocked it and then started getting calls from 0121 389 0867. This is blocked and suspect it ll switch to another very similar number. Just keep blocking.

SCAM.. spoke to two men both with very strong foreign accents who's English was very poor could barely understand what they was saying. They tried saying they worked for sky and that my broadband had flagged problems over to their head office so wanted me to go on my laptop so they could show me. I immediately checked my sky account through the legitimate app on my phone and ran tests which all came back fine.. all felt dodgy right from the off and when asked to go on my laptop I hung up..

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. Fraud - Indian call centre claiming to be from O2 but hiding behind a UK number as you are more likely to answer it. Offered savings off my bill and free upgrade wanted my details to check and the one time pass code that O2 were going to send me. Its a massive fraud once they have your account info they will go on a spending spree using your details but changing the delivery address. Just hang up or do not answer.

Had a call today from this number.... Just missed the call so rang back. Answerphone said all advisors are busy etc etc, but no company name given.
Calls from "BT" and "Openreach" are always scams as the real companies will never call you unless you ask then to.
