Female caller with an Asian accent rang from this number twice today. Said she was from Benefits UK. I asked who Benefits UK is, and she replied "A company", and wanted to ask me some questions, which would only take a couple of minutes. I replied that I do not answer questions over the phone, and she hung up. A couple of hours later, the number rang again, and my daughter answered. She told the caller that our number is ex directory and that we are TPS registered. Again, the caller hung up.

Someone called me from this number this morning and I answered. He said that he was phoning in regard to a recent survey that had done with regard to debts and wanting to reduce the amount paying. He knew my name but did not introduce himself or who he was workingfor. As soon as I told him I had not filled any survey online he hung up. I tried to ring the number back but it went through to an Orange answerphone that message box was full.

This number did not accept return calls. Scam?

Silent call. I didn t say "hello" on pick up. That usually triggers any recorded calls. No one the other end said "hello" etc.
nSo another crap call.

Said "I m (muffled name) calling from (muffled) finance, how are you".
nNo one I know or have heard of so assume phishing scam.

A man called my telephone to ask me to access my computer so he can fix the issue with the internet connection. I had not reported a fault, he was not calling from my provider and used a wrong mame for me. So, I hung up. The following day I discovered that the internet connection on my son s laptop had indeed been disabled! He must have visited a dodgy website but it is worrying that they could retrieve my telephone number from it.

Called out the phone down after I answered

I have downloaded a call blocker app to my smartphone... it's the best I can do... to just keep adding numbers/sms text numbers like these (I google them first) to my black...

On some phones you can block the numbers, I have an iPhone 5s and it s very handy being able to block these pests. Iv had 30+ calls from different numbers the past few weeks too! of which I just keep blocking. Iv answers a few times and one guy was so nasty after I politely asked him to stop calling.. He was unbelievably rude and threatening!
