SCAM 01417298573 After initial silence, caller said his name was John and he was my local energy adviser in my area. I asked where he had got my number from as mine was X-Directory and he shouldn’t have it. As I was asking him to delete it he kept forcibly talking over me. I hung him. Blocked his number with BT. Do not give anyone on this number any information.
They have called twice left message once and sent me two emails concerning a debt for plusnet. I contacted plusnet who confirmed no outstanding debt and that this was a scam.
SCAM: 07770 034516 is a recorded message claiming to be from the National Crime Unit & that your National Insurance number has been suspended & that you need to click 1. Like other similar scams it is an attempt to scare individuals into giving personal & financial details over the phone.

The people on the other end of this phone have confirmed by letter they are delivering me a phone on 23rd August 2012 and that my current phone will be switched off on 26th. My phone diverts numbers not in my phone book to voicemail. If a message is left I consider responding. No message I block. This number left no message so it’s blocked.
Said they are from carphone warehouse but could be any fraudster trying to gain personal information. Hung up when I refused give personal details and repeatedly said that they shouldn’t be calling TPS registered numbers.
