This company sends you text messages saying you are owed an amount in thousands due to payment protection mis-selling. If you reply you get a voice mail saying ring this number. When you do you ll find the amount claimed to be due to you is non-existent. It s just a ploy to get you there.

they called dozens of time. asking for information that could provide a security / data risk.

Called at 2 am. Rang it back no answer. Now blocked.

just received a call from 08000232588 caller identified himself as an agent for SKY, knew my current account type and monthly bill, also expiry date for my package tried to offer me a better deal to continue for another twelve mnths when my current package expires, I asked him to call back at amore convenient time. Basically they re a fishing company, poorly-paid scammers doing blanket cold calling asking "have you had an accident in past 3 years" (citing they have bogus "information at hand") until, inevitably, someone says "yes". Cue then a selling job about how they can claim compo for you (for a % price). Not a scam; just a sad reflection of compensation culture and call-centre mentality. Hang up immediately; or if you want to be arsey, engage person in pointless conversation (though it isn t really his/her fault)

I received a call from a chap who called himself Brady, from the Nuisance Calls Prevention Service in Brighton at 6.05pm on 26th February 2015. He told me that he was aware that I was receiving a high ratio of nuisance calls and that he was going to stop them for me... all good up to this point! He then went on to say that for ?2 per month the calls would be stopped!!!! Definitely a scammer, but what worries me is that he knew my name and ex-directory telephone number.
