Industrial Hearing Clinic: Their records (allegedly from the Industrial Society)show that I worked in a factory for more than 5 years & as my employer didn t provide ear protectors, I m entitled to compensation. I said that I d asked previous callers to remove my name from their list. When asked why I didn t want to claim my entitlement, I said I didn t need to. Q"Why not? Don t answer this number because 1) They re trying it on and once they know you will respond you will receive further calls from other numbers too. 2) If you answer from abroad as I did you will be charged even though they cut the call off as soon as you do answer. I was charged 50p for a 1 second call The moral is don t answer if you don t know the callers ID. I save these bogus numbers in my phone so I know not to ever answer again. I will never answer any call from an 0151 number any more.

Introduced themselves as scrappage scheme for boilers and windows. Said they were Dundee based but number is Scuntorpe. Caller became aggressive when questioned.

Or maybe they just work in the UK? I too didn t get far in the conversation before this actually nice lady hung up. I was also just curious about how they got my number. Easy answer really but hanging up to me was a sign that perhaps they aren t so legitimate. Oh well.
