Called twice today. Answered 2nd call - "Mike (Punjabi) Smith", from 'BT'. Foreign person using my IP address for illegal purposes - would need to disconnect my internet for 5 days. Told me to hit CTRL+R and Windows key and enter something. I played along (doing NOTHING on my laptop, but then asked him, "You say this is coming from my IP address - then you can tell me what it is!?". He gave me a random number from hos head, I guess. They called my mobile and I answered, no one spoke, got charged for answering. DO NOT answer calls from this number
Answered call and it just dropped silently after a few seconds - clearly a broken autodialer for some kind of telemarketer or similar. Google Caller ID said location was Bamburgh and I don't know anyone from there.
Savers club said he was doing a survey and I was not obliged to buy anythingI did answer his questions and thought he would not phone again but he has and asked for me by name I was too busy to talk so just got off the phone.
I get a call from this number every 2 other Saturday or so, I've never picked up and I keep blocking it, however, every time they ring they use a slightly different number : starting with 020 7946 and so far either 1842, 1699, 1469,1153.
My call intercepter did not put this call through. There has to be a person on the end of the line not just an autodialling system as they have to give a name before it is transferred to me to accept or decline. Sorry I am unable to shed any light as to who this firm is, but I guess it is cold call selling (despite being registered with TPS) or could be a scam, either way I do not want to have anything to do with them.

I requested a catalogue in the post (so I could have a look without speaking to anyone) and about 1 hour after filling in the online form, I ve started to receive around 3 or 4 calls a day, now for well over a week. I haven t answered them, but I m really annoyed and suggest this marketing tactic isn t a good idea in general.
