Automated message saying I was being investigated for tax evasion! and that a warrant had been issued for my arrest by Hmrc. Considering I am a basic paye tax payer, it was clearly a scam. Number blocked.
Supposedly from Microsoft wanting to know if I was the main user of the computer? When I asked why he said they have been getting a lot of notices and that my security software was being corroded. He asked when I'd last used the computer and when I said it was none of his business he said **** off a****** and hung up!

SCAM Recorded message that Fraud is committed on your credit card. I pressed 2 to speak to them. I then purposefully tricked them by saying "Is that HSBC?".... "Yes sir", he replied, "HSBC Visa services".... "Oh good" I said, "I don't have any HSBC accounts. Now fuck off and stop stealing".

Called me and asked to speak to [my name]. I asked who they were, gave company name. Started trying to small talk with me so I asked the reason for the call. He then said "We re calling because of some information we ve been pass-" and then he hung up on me. Presumably he knew I couldn t be fleeced!

This phone number asks about national insurance saying it has been compromised and press one to speak to officer.
SCAM. Someone saying there was a problem with my Internet. Funny that, because I was using it at the time. Told him where to go in no uncertain terms! Number blocked.
Was sure that it was a Canadian cousin then accepted it wasnt. Asked for £9.00 odd etc etc due to bill , didnt make any sense. I persisted with the likeness (exact) of the females voice and its origins, was told India LOL I know a Canadian accent, I told the thick cow did she think I was thick? and to go and find someone else-I really wanted to use the f word but in case i got it wrong and upset some Indi/adian for nothing (and possibility of getting new phone line cut-off. 99 per cent scam , I think? - Oh

I've just kept one of their team talking for 12 minutes, saving others from being called by this scam! They claim to be "Road Traffic Management" and that they can get you additional compensation for a RTA you've had. They also claim to have got your details from the MIB (Motor Insurance Database), but when pushed they claim that all they were given was your phone number and the fact that your vehicle had been in an accident in the last five years that wasn't your fault. Dropped what I was doing & raced downstairs to answer persistent call. Man with an unidentifiable accent garbled something against a cacophony of background noise sounding like the Call Centre from Hell. I asked him to repeat his sentence. He said " can I speak to the owner of the business?" Puzzled, I said " business?" At which point he rudely disconnected the call. No idea why he was asking about a business owner or why he decided not to tell me, or why he had decided on one word that the call wasn t wort
Mistakenly answered - it simply clicked off - presumably adding our number to endless harrassers' databases. Luckily, another call I'd missed is also now continually dialling dailly (despite answering), so I can safely (once more) ignore them all. I remember when the phone used to be a means of communication, rather than intrusion - targeting the most vulnerable. This one's probably dangerous.
