Scam call, allegedly from my (unnamed) Internet Service Provider. Apparently, my internet service is going to be suspended, due to "illegal activities".

I missed a call from these people yesterday whilst at work, who are they and are they just scam?

I have stopped answering these suspicious calls for the time being - too busy. As with the one I received at the same time yesterday, when I was having breakfast, I concluded the caller was another criminal trying to persuade me to give them access to my computer so they could infect it. That is because the majority of the calls I get are of that nature. The likelihood was all the greater because, like yesterday s call, it was purportedly from an area where I do not know anyone.

My TRUECALL device received a call from 01924215367 today. Its operating system would have asked who is calling before asking me whether I wished to accept the call. The caller did not respond and my phone did not ring. I installed this device because I have been a victim of miss-selling and fraud crime. The product is endorsed by BT. 10 Dec 2021 - Told me he was from 02. Told him I wasn’t even with 02 then started getting annoyed saying I returned his call. Told him I hadn’t. This went on for a few minutes. I was laughing the entire time. Reply

Had two calls from this number. They hung up when I asked them to prove who they were in response to being asked for my security details. Spoke to Orange and demanded to have the calls stopped or as a loyal customer I will leave Orange. Lots of excuses but they accepted in end. I will leave if it happens again!

I read in the press that the STAR 9500 smartphone has been found to have a factory installed trojan virus. So I disabled my STAR 9500 and moved the sim card to an old phone. A few days later the old phone reported a missed call and a text message. The message was just this number. I didn t call it back.

They called me told me my name and my postcode. Said that I was happy with my bank and credit cards? I said yes and he then said okay and cut me off. VERY VERY DODGY and cannot call the number back either so concerned how they have my details??
