Junk mail from HSBC linked firm. First to mobile, then called house line. I have not given my number/details to any firms/surveys/shops/ other organisations since Jan 2015, when I stopped work to look after the kids. This week I updated details with HSBC for their online documents BS and today I had 2 junk marketing calls. You d think they make enough cash off my overdraft fees, but obviously need to sell my details to shore-up their disgraceful accounts too... Tragic.
Definitely a scam. Neither BT, Openreach or any other provider will call you about technical issues unless you contact them.

SCAMScam. 'Christopher' from an 'accident claims line' regarding an accident on (correct date) that was 'not your fault'. This is around the 10th call in a month using same script from different numbers (all now blocked). Other numbers had reports describing similar calls, supposedly to settle claim for percentage of settlement. No mention of my insurance carrier. I have BT guardian which asks callers to announce who they are before I answer. Most sales calls hang up at that point, this one didn't. Lovely lady explained that I could have a half hour appointment to check energy efficiency of my home and advise of any improvements. I made the appointment. Very polite young man called Adam arrived, checked the loft and roof, looked around, discussed my energy payment per month. The information given was useful, nothing to sign, no sales pitch. I would have no worries.

The caller, Liam, claimed to be from Premier Rewards ... wanting to give me some money! Like, yeah!! I consider this to be a 'SPAM' call and potentially dangerous. The caller kept interrupting me - a known tactic from SPAM callers! My suggestion to anyone is to just Hang Up!
