Received a call, foreign voice said ringing about accident I d had. They managed to get my name, address and accident details and sent me an email which they wanted me to open and click on the attachment to provide authority for them to send out documents for me to claim compensation. I told them I didn t need to claim compensation as only very minor whip lash, however they were very insistent saying that didn t matter and I was entitled to £3000 compensation. This number rang and started to go through the usual.. could I talk to the householder... at this point I asked them to take the number off their list as I live in sheltered accommodation. They said sorry and yes they would - GOT ANOTHER CALL TODAY... AAAGGGHHH

Scam Claims

Am ex directory but still received an attempted call (wouldn t leave a message) - will now permanently block this number via BT Call Guardian.

I don t have any credit cards. It was offering help paying off credit card debt of over 5000 pounds. It was quiet when I first answered then an automated message. No option to remove my number from the dialling list. Added it to my auto reject list instead.

This is a PPI claims company from Rotherham. Absolute garbage. Ignore.

Female caller, Indian accent, gave name something like Mindy, claimed to be from Talk Talk. Obviously long delays between exchanges, nothing like usual UK call quality.

Noticed a missed call from this number on an old mobile I d only recently put a brand new SIM into. This phone has never been used to make calls anywhere so either Tesco Mobile have started re-issuing old numbers or the calling company are chancers.

Computer scammers claiming you have a problem with your computer so they can get you to give them remote access to your computer. Do not give them access.
