Asked for me by name and said they were from Legal & General in regards to my life insurance policy and a possible reduction due to COVID. As soon as I said are you sure since I know I don't have a policy with them they just hung up.
I get, on average, 2 calls a day from this number. Never rings for long, and never leaves a message. Maybe scam!

"Jack" called from the "Credit Investigation Department"... I asked which company this "Department" worked for, which at first he wouldn t answer. Eventually he said it was a UK Government Agency... When I pressed him further and explained that I signed up to the TPS and he should not be calling me, he told me to "Shut up and listen!". When I laughed at him and told my colleagues around me what he d just said, he hung up (unsurprisingly!)

SCAM Automated call claiming to be HM Tax Office with fraud case against call recipient. 'Press 1 to be connected to case officers or you will be arrested' Hung up and blocked immediately.
I was called from this number approx. 5,00pm this evening, and answered to a recorded female message advising me that my Amazon Prime account had expired, and that a charge of £95 would be made to automatically renew it. As I do not have a Prime account, I did not listen any further to the message, which I suspect was going to advise me to press a digit on my phone, to speak to an adviser, from where details of my Bank Account would be required!! I hung up halfway through the message.

I ve received 17 calls in 48 hours, sometimes within minutes of each other! I ve threatened to use another provider which has triggered these calls, but even so, that s ridiculous and they never leave a message. I ve emailed them to tell them I will only converse with them via email as I m sick of being insulted by their foreign call centre workers! Pain in the ****, looks like some other lucky ISP is about to get my business!!!
