They asked for staff member by name but he doesn t deal with our energy supplies. They re just time wasting chancers, don t get caught.

This company called today regarding PPI. Said they had sent an info pack to my home - the address was one I lived at over 10 years ago! I told them I wasn t interested and hung up. He called straight back and again I told him no and hung up. He called again and this time I asked for the manager, someone else came on the line and was very rude and insulting! Do not engage with these vile people.

Just had a very strange phone call to my mobile from 1135181884 a Leeds number telling me he was sending me 10 free goes on the national lottery, I asked what the catch was he said none . Definitely a criminal enterprise. Rang me telling me I should claim the money set aside for me after a crash that they somehow knew I had been in. Very cleverly the got personal details from me including my address, date of birth and national insurance number. They pretend to put you through to a solicitor whilst keeping you on hold for a while... Very well thought out criminal enterprise.. After a couple of days they confirm that you can have the money.. And arrange for a "special courier" for legal docume

I answered today and said the same thing - so checked what information they had on my address etc, and have the correct address, have asked for the information, and will check it out when I receive it. I asked where they had obtained my information from and he said from an online form I had completed, and as I have recently, this would seem feasible, as the databases are available to purchase in the telemarketing world. Called as I had gone over my limit on my card. They did hang up the first time they tried calling me which was annoying to which the adviser informed me that they are having issues with the auto dialler system. I believe Aqua credit also use a similar number.

Chasing up an account I had opened but not yet activated

Said she was from Autodesk or AutoCAD and was looking to speak to accounts as license was due to expire. As we don't use Autocad i got suspicious, then she asked if she was speaking to a certain company, of which i didn't know. This may have been a genuine call where they phoned the wrong company or could have been a scam to try and get a payment. As Autodesk now use 3rd party account managers then you would normally know the person calling you and they would be using the correct names.
