SCAM Someone called “David” called trying to sell me a mobile phone contract. iPhone 13 pro max, 24 months with unlimited data, minutes and texts. For £40 a month. When enquired, came up with nonsense which made no sense. Asked for network provider, my name, and starting asking family names. Of course gave fake names and realised I knew they were scammers. Swearing dialogue commenced, said they were from Sri Lanka which seems nonsense. Accent sounded Indian. Called back on different number

Called me and asked to speak to [my name]. I asked who they were, gave company name. Started trying to small talk with me so I asked the reason for the call. He then said "We re calling because of some information we ve been pass-" and then he hung up on me. Presumably he knew I couldn t be fleeced!

Randomly messaged me saying "Hi number neighbour". Very strange and they only could have got my number through my mobile network provider. Marked as spam and deleted right away.
Unanswered call to Australian mobile, UK country prefix and no message left. Search shows Mansfield, Victoria Australia. This is not an Australian number or format. Call logged 8 Sep. SInce May-21 there has been a consistent 2 calls per week with UK country code prefix each from a different number. Suspected scam.

Called me at a1049 on 6th October 2020. Saying inland revenue are chasing me for tax evasion and I should ring back on this number, definitely do not ring them. This is a hoax. Inland revenue do not make these types of calls. You will be charged at premium rates and be kept in the phone, while you get a huge bill for that call.

Got the same call today from an Indian woman called "Jennifer Janet" (like f*ck)stating I had viruses. She would fix them and also upgrade my internet service! (ha ha). I played along with her until she asked me to press certain buttons on my keyboard. I pretended to do so, and when she asked "what message is displayed", that is when I tore into her calling her a scamming Indian ****** and to f*ck off! she hung up! A recorded message warned me that my bank account was to be charged to continue my membership of Amazon Prime after a free trial. I don't belong to Amazon Prime! I did not dial 1 as suggsted to speak to someone, particularly because although I do have an Amazon account my name was not given in the call. Phishing at best, access to my bank account possibly?
