This unrecognised number called me yet again! Initially, I did not answer but then fearing it might be Check & Trace I tried to ring it back. It just cuts off so clearly either spam, scammers or phishing. DO NOT ANSWER. I've now BLOCKED it.
Call from Amazon. Told to go online and check emails because somebody was taking £700 from my account. I said no and rang off. Called again wanting to know why I rang off and to get on the computer. I said no again but wouldn't take no for an answer I asked why not using Amazon number it was because it was a security number. Told unless I did as asked, payment would go ahead. They claim to be Vodafone but it isn t! I know this as a 100% guarantee. As a friend of mine works for the Police, and they checked the number out! It s people making out to be Vodafone, to scam people out of money and get bank details. My friend from the Police, has passed on this information to C.I.D, to sort it out, as they call me non stop up to 5 times a day. DO NOT ANSWER THEIR CALLS, AS ITS A DANGEROUS SCAM!

They began calling last year and I blocked them. Then they call from a different number. They started from a London number 020 something and then they began calling from my town 01308 294566. The last time was 25/02/16. I called the number back but an automated voice told me it was not an important financial matter and hung up. I m a disabled pensioner. It is either an educated young man or a young woman who tries to keep me on the phone and continues to ask me about accidents. I hung up on her.
Indian man, after giving an English name,says he is calling from BT Technical Dept.I know that there is no such Department within the BT organisation!!I said goodbye and put the phone down!! It is High time BT themselves did something about this type of call as it has been going on for a very long time.Do not be fooled, it is a SCAM which potentially will relieve you of large amounts of your money!!

DANGEROUS Scammer saying he is calling from BT about my internet connection problems. These calls are always a scam. They often know your name and address, so can sound legit. Usually they want you to go online then give them control of your device. They can then get information stored on the device. Banking info, passwords etc. All this under the pretence of helping you. Looks like this is a new number they re using. DEFINITELY BEWARE
