Phone automatically blocked the number but on phoning it back got a very apologetic message basically saying the number had been hijacked by foreign scammers and that the matter was in the hands of ofcom, just block the number and give absolutely no information whatever to them as it could be used for identity fraud.

Tried to tell me that I need to get a new mortgage right now or I would end up in ?10,000+ worth of debt due to my current mortgage. Nuisance caller when I tried to ring them back to ask them to stop pestering us I couldn t get through to them. As I was completing this the phone rang again. I tried to explain that we didn t want calls from them. The bloke said "with all due respect mate we ve never rang you before". What a shithouse even though I told him we have been plagued by them. Unfortunately he had a scouse accent as I do myself. Surely there are better jobs to be doing than this.

Indian/Pakistani sounding clearly calling from a call centre not in the U.K. as he had me on speaker phone and could hear him speaking with someone else as I answered the call. He asked for someone I don’t know. I told him I didn’t know the person and he got rude and aggressive with me before hanging up. I’ve blocked the number.

Yes this is HSBC. I have an account with them and this was my LOCAL branch calling to make sure I was aware of changes and to ensure I was using the acc correctly. Very pleasant lady and took 5mins of my time. No problem to report.

I note that this number has been cloned and this number showed up today and was Talk Talk (so they said) and I had problems with my router. I blocked so they called on another number a few hours later.
