TAXES / HMRC SCAM - Received a call from this number. Recorded message informing me that a letter from HMRC had been returned and therefore proceedings are going to be issued against me. I was instructed to press '1' to speak to an advisor but I hung up instead and reported the call to ICO.org.uk. I am hoping that this is not somebody's private number being cloned.
Do not know who called but they rang more than once. Luckily, I am unable to reach phone before it rings off but tried to ring back after checking number via and advised non existent number. Checked with BT who advised it was a scam.

The only way we know someone has phoned is when we pick the receiver up and it shows there has been a missed call
