Received a cold call purporting to be EE. The number had obviously been spoofed as it belongs to a London Cafe.

When subsequent callers have been asked the same question the line has 'dropped out' from the far end! Make your own decision!
64057 is the number to text to STOP reciving messages from We Buy Any Car.com On my network, O2 this is rated as a premium rate number/service so I was charged 13p to opt out. I dont know if other mobile providers recognise this number as a premium rate number or not. WBAC stated that they operate this as a free service and the cost charged is from O2 in my instance. I know its not a biggie - but strange to be charged.

According to person on other end of call, they were calling with regard to the problems I had logged with the local housing officer. I had done no such thing so this is obviously a scam call

Called the number and they put the phone down on us clearly a fraud from a foreign country. Called bank and blocked account from been ripped off by these disgusting evil cretins. This is a new, and weird, one for me. Called my landline but disconnected when I picked up (now they know this is a live number,,,damn!!). No message left so I'll never know if I have been left millions of pounds from an unknown benefactor who needs me to handle his money, for a small fee, to help them evade paying local taxes or being claimed by a fictional Government department.

SCAM - the call looked like a normal mobile number. A pre-recorded message talks of a fraud against HMRC and an arrest warrant being issued - press button 1 or 2 Etc. I hung up - a complete scam, either attempting to get a premium rate return call or personal information.
