My mother-in-law has just found a charge for ?99.99 on her Barclays statement. I ve just spoken to the bank and they have been 100% helpful and have agreed to refund her ASAP. When mum-in-law initialy went into the bank to query the transaction they told her that it was a holiday company and assisted her to call them. This number called - I picked up the phone but did not speak. After 5 seconds the call was ended. I searched for the number and found reference to it on funnumber.in which has been mentioned against other numbers on this site. I suspect the call was spoofing the number and would have been one of the standard microsoft/openreach scams if I had spoken to one of their operators.

Called with a thick asian accent claiming to be Janet from Virgin and calling about an issue with the router. They asked me to tell them the colour on the router and then input a web address. I guessed immediately that this was a scam but decided to lead them on a little. After a couple of minutes 'Janet' realised that I knew this was a scam and launched into a tirade of verbal abuse swearing and threatening to come and stab me before then hanging up!

Fraud - some indian call centre where there is a delay to connect. They were crank calling me all morning. Claim to be from sky and someone is trying to access my internet. Tried to get me to log on to some site and I know it was dodgy so hung up but they keep calling.
