I answered the call after about 3 rings. They hung up as soon as i said Hello
Recorded announcement saying that HMRC has fraud case registered and that recipient must press one. Hung up as call came from local number and not standard HMRC practice. Likely to be scam.
Please report scamcallers to the ICO (if you are already registered with the TPS) and silent or abandoned calls to OFCOM. Spam callers do not care if you post here; they DO worry when they are reported to Ofcom or the ICO on the site, which takes minutes

Not answered the call. Had 5 calls in 30 mins from same number and they then left a blank voicemail. Scam/fraud blocker on my phone flags this number. Have blocked it but they keep on trying!
Spam call - only way to block this is with a BT call guardian or similar - my corded phone rings once then bliss....
