An Asian voice, poor English spoken, said they were from Open Reach, and needed to check my modem. They made a give-away mistake as they got my internet provider wrong. SCAM - Just had a call saying they were contacting me about upgrading my phone, so I wasn't best pleased about being disturbed when I'm not feeling well with a very heavy cold. I knew it was a scam straight away as there was no link to my existing provider, so I informed the caller of that and told him to "Bu**er off"! Suggest others do the same.

SCAM It's Tom the insulation guy. Calls frequently but this is a new number. Says loft insulation is causing damp and we can get a free survey and an alternative. Went with it - he checks you're old enough to be vulnerable (65-85 or 85+) and that you're the home owner and takes a surname. Bloke from Protec loft insulation calls you back to arrange the visit to take money off you for something you don't need.
I do not know who this number belongs to but they ring my number the when I answer. the. caller hangs up ..
