Rang saying they were from Microsoft (they have rung several times before) asked if I was before the computer said no getting repaired(fib) back next week Asked how muck will it cost to repair said £2 I have had this done before a year ago they said £10 then asked for my details and tried to take out £835 DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY DETAILS EG SORT CODES ACCOUNT NUMBERS PASS WORDS DATE OF BIRTH GIVE A FALSE Just string them along for a day or two and then ask them to "catchSpiders" GOOD LUCK

This was supposedly a text about reschedualing a Royal Mail delivery It gave website link (https://delivery-reschedual-gb.com) that doesn't exist so obviously is masking the website it is actually sending to. SPAM SCAM Fraud
An Asian voice, poor English spoken, said they were from Open Reach, and needed to check my modem. They made a give-away mistake as they got my internet provider wrong. This is the third call over the last 10 days, saying the same thing. But I didn't make a note of the number until the third time they called, which was today at 4.30 pm.
Silent call. Immediately hung up.

Who phoned me from this house number I don't know it?
I received a call from this number just now. He said he was from a company called Technical Help Service and told me my computer had a virus. He tried to convince me using various methods including running the eventvwr (the errors listed there are not related to viruses!) This is identical to the well known Windows Technical Helpdesk scam. This is a text informing you that you can buy your photos for cheap, a persistent message sent long after the company collapsed into bankruptcy last year. One of the owners, Julian, has taken on the entire stock of photos and is trying to wring a dying dollar out of the industry with badly taken photos and insistent message. How the mighty have fallen. Based on previous Doubletake methods the images will be sold to you for over the odds and retouched by a low quality outsourcing team.

SCAM It's Tom the insulation guy. Calls frequently but this is a new number. Says loft insulation is causing damp and we can get a free survey and an alternative. Went with it - he checks you're old enough to be vulnerable (65-85 or 85+) and that you're the home owner and takes a surname. Bloke from Protec loft insulation calls you back to arrange the visit to take money off you for something you don't need.
