Took a contract out with car phone warehouse have not given out number which means car phone warehouse has passed on my number against my will. Rang to say they were from a community safety awareness leaflet, and that I had agreed last october to renew an advert with the publication. (Which I am 99.9% certain I did not do). He then said he would get his head office to call me back with a tape recording of my agreement. I am still waiting for said head office to call me.

Call continuously :/ I say hello and nothing. Let the silence hang and 5+ seconds later they hang up. Very annoying.

Accidentally answered this. Recorded msg supposedly HMO threating a warrant being issued! I had to click on 1 to be put through to the office. Needless to say I hung up!!

Phoning persistently over the past few days from different numbers. Some kind of survey scam, but they hang up as soon as you deviate from script. If they call, don t give away any personal info: don t even confirm your name. Instead, try to politely find out their company name and address. Then send details to offcom / TPS / your MP etc (perhaps with a similar level of persistence?), until someone does something. It s just an idea. Good luck!

Endless calls at all times or the day from these scammers despite being registered with TPS. Time these companies were put out of business and the bosses jailed for a long stretch for the distress they cause.
