I was called from this number approx. 5,00pm this evening, and answered to a recorded female message advising me that my Amazon Prime account had expired, and that a charge of £95 would be made to automatically renew it. As I do not have a Prime account, I did not listen any further to the message, which I suspect was going to advise me to press a digit on my phone, to speak to an adviser, from where details of my Bank Account would be required!! I hung up halfway through the message.
I re- dialled this number to see who had called me and got the message "number not valid".
Called at 8am on a Saturday morning and hung up when i answered. Checked number and listed as place in Wales.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. It is NOT 02 it is Phones 4 U calling as you are near/or due an upgrade. Email Phones 4 U and ask to be removed from the marketing database - this worked for me.

Unknown number, so did not answer and let it run to answerphone. Caught the end of a message from a female voice saying would call again tomorrow. You may call again, but we will not get the call - I Googled the number whilst it rang, saw this website's contents, and blocked it!
Knew my name and stated he wasn t trying to sell me anything but wanted me to complete a survey and would then make sure I wasn t called again. Number doesn t actually exist but is spoofed by a South West Asian company.
