Government call re@ my NI number - threatening me with arrest if I didn't push button 1 and talk to an officer. I'm to be arrested in 2hrs! It is frightening for me although I'm aware it is a scam. Caller with indian accent gave a fake name and claimed to be calling from BT Broadband. He said there were hackers using my wifi according to messages on their server. He then tried to scare me in to giving him access to my computer. He was obviously trying to scam me as I don t have an account with BT. He hung up on me when I wouldn t let him access my computer.

As stated by Max above - The caller said he was calling from British Gas and said they have had technical issues and they need my electricity meter numbers. I work in the energy industry and I am aware they can access this via the national electricity database (ECOES) - as my supplier they are fully entitled to use this. I challenged him and he continued to give excuses. I then terminated the call.
