SCAM - beware if a supposed family member sends a WhatsApp message saying they’ve lost their phone and that this is their new number. Whoever it was tried to scam 4K from me by pretending to be my son in trouble. Luckily the amount was too much to even think about sending it without speaking to him. So please please make sure you know who you’re talking to. If it had been a smaller amount I may have considered sending it.
Silent call then hung up after I answered, have had a lot of calls from similar numbers the past week

Claims it is from a well known Telecom Company and Broadband provider (it is not). It is an attempt to get access to your computer. They will state that you have had broadband issues that they have picked this up from your hub (extremely unlikely, it is impossible to monitor every hub any ISP provides). It is an attempt to get remote access to your computer. ISP's do not use mobile numbers, they will always do a check as to who you are, these people do not even ask who you are as they do not know.

SCAM - won item on e bay and then said for me to ring this number and not send it to the address listed on e bay, when i replied to message on e bay they threatened to report me to their credit card fraud dept!

Didn't recognise No. so let answer machine deal with it:- Auto-Voice Telling us our BT Account would be terminated tomorrow due to fraudulent activity, and to Press-1 to speak to an advisor. Terminated call.
