Sent text message to my mobile claiming to be from BT - then asked name and BT number. I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. Two hours later, the same message arrived on my wife s mobile. Clearly some sort of scam but I do not know what.

This company has been ringing my home phone for months on lots of different numbers. I never answer as I have caller display They leave a message for someone I have never heard of and say that they need me to ring back as they need to contact this person urgently.

Had previous calls about a proported car accident before from different numbers. I will log the number with TPS so it gets know more widely as one to block/ignore.

Rang at 6.30pm - I didn t recognise number so let ansafone take it - they didn t leave a message. I checked on this site to see who they were, so when the same number rang again at 7.20pm I answered (to wind them up!). Unknown caller telephoning a TPS registered private number and failing to leave a message. Presumably an illicit sales call or a scammer.

Received 3 calls from 0844-3585862 over 4 days. Each time the line is dead - just the "number engaged" sound for about 4 seconds then line goes dead
