It s quite easy to negate these types of calls by getting yourself a Call Line Identity phone. If the call doesn t display the name of someone in your tel address book, or shows number withheld, or out of area, or International let the answer machine do the work. You can then block the number or use phone settings to set your preferences - problem solved...

As in the other comment I was told to ring 01642850850 - this is useless. It asks you to give the name of the person and offers no other option. Since I don t know who called I was at a dead end

Bloke with Newcastle accent called Anthony . Asking about a car accident in last two yrs . As soon as I said I didn't have a car I was promptly cut off .

Reports on other sites suggest it s a survey / data collection company, possibly called "I love my offers".

Called up at 7pm. Told my life insurance was awful And how it wasn t the right one for me. After what can only be described as border line bullying I went to speak to one of there "qualified" advisors. Turned out it was some wise boy who tried to make me spend more than I was already paying for less cover. Complete waste of time I d avoid using them at all costs.

012 5555 4810 rings me regularly and keeps hanging up, they don’t leave a voicemail either. I no longer answer the landline phone, I wait till calls go into voicemail. I have told friends and family to leave a message and I will pick-up the phone as soon as I recognise the caller or the reason for the call or I will call back. I read in the press that the STAR 9500 smartphone has been found to have a factory installed trojan virus. So I disabled my STAR 9500 and moved the sim card to an old phone. Called but left no message. The telephone number relates to the JCUH at Middlesbrough and I believe the call is to remind patients of an appointment at the hospital. When I phoned it back I was told to ring 01642 850850.
