Said something about being just about to email over financial trading reports for spread betting. When asked if they had the wrong number they hung up - presumably expecting me to call back.
Not a call. A text message claiming Whatsapp was going to expire with a link to pay to extend usage. Whatsapp is free to use and no longer expires. Scam!

Call saying Amazon were taking £79.99 from my a/c and press 1 to cancel the transaction or 2 to speak to advisor. I put phone down. I notice callers are introducing themselves with very English christian names, when clearly have Asian accents.! When challenged, they end the call.

Silent call. Received a call from (07458 148209) on my mobile, although very few people know my mobile number. When I managed to answer there was nothing to be heard from the caller's end so I assumed it was some dodgy scammer. Apparently from BT advising there were "irregurlarities" on my network and that they would disconnect me unless I pressed "1" for instructions. Almost certainly a scam so I declined the invitation.

SCAM - OFCOM Internet Conection Called pretending to be OFCOM with a convincing sounding recorded message from a very nice lady that my internet connection had been hacked and would terminate in 24hrs. Then requested I press "1" to resolve the situation. Absolute scam - the number is local to Solihull and is unobtainable if dialled. Delete and block immediately !!!

Someone calling on behalf of "investment management" companies for ex-pats overseas. Couldn't/wouldn't tell me how they had my number. It was annoying and suspicious.
