Continually calling my mobile, claiming to be SC Legal based in Manchester, but number showing in my caller display (01444) is area code for Haywards Heath, West Sussex. Phone calls encourage me to claim compensation following a vehicle accident. Despite telling them I have no cause to claim compensation they refuse to remove my number from their calls list. Returned call from this number however when calling back it won’t receive incoming calls. Use 01642 850850 which takes you to an automated switchboard then you request the person or department or ask for switchboard to speak to a human operator.

I answered this all on my mobile and they hung up immediately so I rang from a land line and was told by an automatic message that I had won vouchers and/or and Ipad. Received a couple of calls over the last two days from this number - missed calls on my mobile. Entered the number into search engine and found these comments - very useful. I too have just put details into Aviva and a short term car insurance cover company - and these calls started immediately - funny that! Now I ve seen comments - will just ignore number

These numbers from 2800-2900 are a call centre acting on behalf of various companies chasing accounts, as soon as you confirm your details they hang up and pass the info to the company you owe and then the company harass you as they know its your number

Said they were BT. Lots of background noise so I challenged with "sounds very noisy for BT". Said that I used to be a BT customer and they wanted to offer me deals to welcome me back. I asked when their records indicated I was a BT customer (they didn t know). They asked about my package. I told them Virgin TV/phone/internet and they kept upping my speed of internet. They said "You re on fibre optic then?" I confirmed I was happy with Virgin so the call ended.
