I read in the press that the STAR 9500 smartphone has been found to have a factory installed trojan virus. So I disabled my STAR 9500 and moved the sim card to an old phone. Had a call just now ..refused to tell me where they had got my number ..terminated the call and now blocked

Just spoken to O2 regarding this number and the calls my wife had been getting. They confirmed that the number does belong to O2 and is not a scam, it is their Customer Research (for want of a better description) calling to ensure she was getting the right deal for her and to see if she wanted to upgrade, so I suppose they re Market Research/Sales. Perfectly safe to answer. If in doubt, just don t give answers to questions you feel uncomfortable about.
