very dodgy! I have had several missed calls so when I answered a guy with a northern accent asked for myself (although had my maiden name and I have been married for 6years!) then he said he was calling regarding my insurance up for renewal and asked if that was correct... there was something very dodgy about this guy though as he kept repeating himself and was also laughing!!! I just apologised and said I was at work and cut him off. I have since blocked the number!

Had this number call me today. Dualling code seems to be the Midlands. I don?t know anyone there.

SCAM Very rude gentleman claiming to be from BT and asking me to access a website because of a (non-existent) change to my Internet connection. Became aggressive and clueless when I asked him to prove his identity, before giving up easily. Come on, guys, you're not even *trying* to be convincing any more! Amateur.

Company called media match, has been phoning repeatedly for weeks, rang them back to a voice recording saying you were called today by media match, the call was not important and we will try again later number blocked

Was rung by this number twice and put on hold for 7 minutes by an automated American voice and then hung up on.

The people on the other end of this phone have confirmed by letter they are delivering me a phone on 23rd August 2012 and that my current phone will be switched off on 26th. I am now receiving phone calls telling me I am entitled to a free upgrade and cheaper phone rate. I have told them several times now over five days that this is already sorted and I am now still receiving phone calls. I received a call from a man with a very strong accent claiming to be from BT to help speed up our broadband. The fact that he greeted me saying ?hi I?m Martin? then 5 minutes later told me his name was John Wilson, was a huge red flag. I can confirm that this is a scam call number as I called the real BT to confirm the number was not affiliated with them. Do not give out any information or allow these scammers access to your computer!

Saw the random number and predicted immediately it would be an insurance scammer. Sure enough, English sounding girl on the phone asking about recent accident. I told her I don t want to participate in her scam. She paused a few seconds and told me she was just calling from an insurance company (didn t actually say a company name). I told her no she wasn t. Very aggressive so asked them to Hold while I get a pen. Dragged this out for them for 4 mins - lol - at least i wasted their time! Score to the consumer!
