The Indian caller I could not understand the mentioned very quickly a company name that was illegible and they made up a reason for me to call them back so they could discuss, I’m guessing this is when they try and either scam you or sell you something you don’t need

SCAM This is a company called Secure Way Solutions using unethical methods to con people to buy Norton anti virus products. They pretended there was viruses on my computer and insisted I needed to buy a lifetime licence of £500. Avoid at all costs.

A recorded message warned me that my bank account was to be charged to continue my membership of Amazon Prime after a free trial. I don't belong to Amazon Prime! I did not dial 1 as suggsted to speak to someone, particularly because although I do have an Amazon account my name was not given in the call. Phishing at best, access to my bank account possibly?

SCAM!!! John from the "Medical Alert Centre" called telling me I have been flagged up as qualifying for a free medical alert pendant. He then asked, "Are you over the age of..." seemed to think for a while and then decided on 50. I am a decade younger than this so I just said, "No." which seemed to confuse him and he said, "Right." Yawn - another cold call from someone whose services I have no interest in. And another cold call from someone when I m on TPS. If I had the patience, I d report the lot of them for breaking the law, but then I d be spending all my time filling in forms with the ombudsman.
A chap called Chris phoned, stating to be from The Green Eco Company. After introducing himself he then launched into a barrage of questions about my age group, what type of loft insulation I had, how was the loft accessed, etc, etc. He then went on to state that because of my age I was eligible for a free loft inspection, which normally cost £65.00. Blatently obvious that this was a cold call from a private company so declined his offer, hung up & blocked the number.

SCAM Saying they are calling from virgin media, about our slow Internet router. They will proceed to ask you to download a software on your pc and then steal any banking details and passwords. We end up having 10 of these calls a day, it's so frustrating. I end up laughing and saying some choice words or going along pretending I'm doing what they are asking. When I say I'm not with virgin media they switch and say they are an it department for all Internet providers. Do not fall for this!!!
