These people phone me and told me they were ringing on behalf of the government - they wanted to know personal health details. Told them to write to me but they just carried on reading from a script and I had to put the phone down

Caller claimed to be from a government department in reference to an accident 18 months ago, and persisted even when I said our number was registered with the TPS. Fairly threatening, saying that if I didn t cooperate my son might be in trouble because his file would remain open .

I received a call from this number earlier, I asked him to remove my number from their database, he then said do you not want to know why I m calling you, I said right just get on with it, he then Sai that if I wasn t interested to hang up, he was quite aggressive and I asked to speak to his manager and was told to p*** off and he hung up, I have now blocked the number on my phone. Said she was from Autodesk or AutoCAD and was looking to speak to accounts as license was due to expire. As we don't use Autocad i got suspicious, then she asked if she was speaking to a certain company, of which i didn't know. This may have been a genuine call where they phoned the wrong company or could have been a scam to try and get a payment. As Autodesk now use 3rd party account managers then you would normally know the person calling you and they would be using the correct names.
