Indian sounding guy calls allegedly from BT. Tells me to go to my computer as he can assist with the virus that has been sent this weekend. Told him I would call out BT engineer if I had an issue, he says no one will come out. I reply I beg to differ - he puts the phone down! Hm - genuine, I don t think so!

I played dumb and allowed them to get to the part where they wanted me to install TeamViewer to gain access to my computer. I gave them an earful about preying on vulnerable people, but it will have had zero effect; I just hope I cost them more money in call charges than they were expecting.

Very insisting caller saying I was interested in buying Bitcoin and annoyingly kept insisting if I had bought coin or if I knew what Bitcoin was, after I repeatedly said I was not interested. It appeared to be from a call centre spamming people offering bitcoin.

Phoning wanting to sell advertising space in a fake mag for charity something to do with children in Cumbria. Have been scammed before by these lot when set up my other business.
Apparently this is the Energy Advice Team and I thought this company were just cold calling me. I soon realised that they were just responding to my application regarding an air source heat pump and solar pv panels on either Facebook or Instagram. They are actually a very friendly and knowledgeable company.
