SCAM !! Pretended they were from my mothers bank after sending her a text pretending it was from her daughter who needed money. Scammed her out of £2800. Voice on phone was English. Reported to Barclays fraud. Phone calls from this number were persistent insisting money hadn’t gone through and no doubt trying to extort more money.

Said they were calling (my elderly father who lives with Dementia ????) from Domestic & General, which then changed to Legal & General, then back to D&G, wanting to pay a £250 refund and could they just have his bank card details to check…. ???? Fortunately I was there to intercept. Scam Indian call centre, says internet is broken and tries to get you to download a remote access computer program so they can take over your computer and then claim a ransom from you. Suggest you keep them hanging on the line as long as possible but don't download anything or give them your details. Just string them along and frustrate them.
