Called me both today and yesterday, did not answer as do not know number and done a search and found this so will be blocking

Says they were BT but due to a heavy Indian accent I couldn't understand what he was saying. Have had people claiming to be BT contacting me before claiming there was an issue with my computer, why BT would contact me about my computer which has nothing to do with them caused alarm bells to ring. Not sure if this was one of these calls but be wary if answer, don't let them have control of your computer for whatever reason they give.

No idea who it is and I know nobody from the area (0151 = Liverpool/Merseyside). They rang, I answered, they hung up.

apparently i have been involved in a recently been involved in a motor vehicle accident etc according to this caller who gave her name as laura.....hung up blocked the number...

Caller s English not brilliant. I had trouble understanding her (and vice versa). Wanted to send out a ?50 Tesco or Waitrose voucher to me once she confirmed my name and address. Told her I don t give details over the phone to people I don t know. She rang off.

My mother-in-law has just found a charge for ?99.99 on her Barclays statement. I ve just spoken to the bank and they have been 100% helpful and have agreed to refund her ASAP. When mum-in-law initialy went into the bank to query the transaction they told her that it was a holiday company and assisted her to call them. This number called with message about "every house needs to be done by 2016" plus "we are in your area" last week - some solar panel scam. Didn t answer - the message is recorded on my answerphone. Same message from 01316483485 yesterday - same result. This lot have probably rented fake numbers from a major phone company which offers them on its web site. Some firms offer call centres numbers which give the person called the idea that it is a local call.
