I was told I could Google it and when I said I was not going to Google it and I asked again for their number the line went dead.

strange unsolicited call from number belonging to: 'W A Read & Sons Ltd' Upon answer there was no reply and the phone put down. I called them several times over and got redirected to voicemail until they eventually gave up and answered. Lady picked up and I asked "What do you want"? No response and phone was put down. This happened two more times. They then disconnected the phone it seems.

SCAM received several phone calls via WhatsApp demanding payment for providing a service befor anything would be done. Lady admitted was of German origin and was ringing from Bournemouth. Payment was to be via PayPal or Amazon gift cards only, on refusal became more aggressive.

Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). Call to my mobile. Didn't recognise the number (but similar to my mobile) so didn't answer even though it rang for a long time. No message or follow up call or text.
This number called me 9.12.2022 told me it was BT and advised other people were using my internet connection and were doing so for bad purposes. Wanted me to turn on my computer so they could sort it out and stop the problem.
