DON'T call the idiots back. It's just what they want you to do!

The PEST is: Domestic & General :( They are a cold-calling pest phishing for new Loft Insulation contracts. I have automated calls on a daily basis for 2 months now - 3 rings and they hang up - never leaving a message. I wish the government would provide the regulators with some teeth to prosecute all these highly persistent phone pests making MULTIPLE nuisance calls. I changed my number relatively recently to avoid this, and I m ex-directory and I ve "opted out" so they should check before they call.

How do you get around the cold calling laws? Well have a "life style survey" so you can tell them all the things you can be scammed by....

Received a Viber message - not one of my contacts and know noone in the code area. Didn't open message because suspicious.

Called claiming to be from Worldpay and asking for someone who doesn t work here. She got the wrong person in me! Oddly enough when I said we already use Worldpay (which is true) she backed off. I would say possibly not Worldpay - but anyway just AVOID!!

All these random numbers ending in 048 (02366 652048, 01576 495038 etc) are Payday Loan companies and I think they are calling from India. When you ring back they answer with a ...

Answered the call by saying hello curtly and the call was immediately ended.

I confirm that it s illegal. I believe they call from Asia because it is a financial call centre but they call when here is night! I don t use bad words because I don t want a ban, but they are criminal!

Called asking if money was owed on credit cards etc , didn't like it when they were told all cards paid off each month !!!
