It is one of those days.....I have had three of these calls in one morning when exceptionally busy. Criminals make up these numbers - all fake and nearly always different - to call me to try to persuade me to fall for their story that there is something wrong with my computer or internet connection. Alleged call from HMRC with automated male voice telling me to press 1 to avoid being arrested for fraud. Absolutely sure it is some new scam attempt to get money from scared people - it sounded quite threatening!
SCAM Robo call purporting to be Jason from Cybercell. There's unauthorised activity on my BT line and press 1 to speak to a supervisor or my internet will be cut off. I did and another guy wanted me to enter something into Google. I ended the call. I don't have a BT line. Clearly a SCAM.

Yep, same thing happened to me. One number out of an influx of numbers calling me and hanging up - scamming Paki bastards in scam call-centres routing their calls through unused UK phone numbers to pretend that they're legitimate companies to try and fish for your personal details and use them for fraud. I wish these filthy Paki bastards would just fuck off and die!

Warranty Direct- endless phone calls at all hours including well into the evening. Ringing them back leads to endless auto prompts- none of which offer Don t phone any more - its all about sales. So never use the on line quotation form- prices grossly excessive and they won t give up harassing you once they have your number. They always cut off as soon as they hear an answer phone.

They called to say I had a minor accident in the last 2.5 years. When I asked what vehicle it was, they said they couldn t tell me because of data protection. I enjoy keeping them on the line while they waste their own time. Sometimes I tell them I m just getting the details and leave them hanging on. It stops them calling anyone else for a while until they get fed up.
