Call with an offer of payment protection insurance. Very dodgy. Never give your credit card details to a caller! No idea where they took my number, anyway.

I am registered with TPS and received an incoming call. The number is now blocked on my mobile, but they will simply change the incoming number to something else in a month or so. My list of blocked numbers is now around 40, a lot of those being duplicated by the same companies. They need to be regulated against, but when you can visit sites that provide a service telling you if a mobile phone is switched on or not (meaning that the mobile operators are selling this information) what hope do we have!?

Told me he had detected my wireless connection was slow and they had been monitoring it for two weeks on the DNS server. He said my computer had a virus and needed me to connect to the internet so he could fix it. I told him I was an IT manager and he was talking nonsense and to go forth and multiply. He rang back and replied likewise and called me derogatory names. Don t be fooled by callers from this number telling you your computer has a virus. Hang up!!!

This is a timeshare type company making offers that seem too good to be true, and you know what they say about things that appear to be too good to be true!!! My wife entered a competition on Heart FM where charges stated £1.00 plus your standard network rate. She then received over 200 texts from this number and £150.00 addition on our phone bill. I m still fighting this now
