Missed call I suspect attempted scam. I’m getting a rush of varied timeshare scam call from varied mobile numbers, this looks like the latest attempt. I usually just clear and block when sure it’s not a genuine call but recently I spoke to one and was terse so might have got myself flagged for more aggressive attention, or maybe I’m just paranoid. Not sure what this was about. I answered and it went silent then someone said hello, knew my email address. Something about a transfer payment being stuck and verifying my data in regards to ID fraud. I had an echo on the line, couldn't hear properly. Caller had strong accent, possibly French. Asked them to call back in 20 mins by which time I would be home and hopefully no echo. They didn't call back. Potentially a scam call in itself? Call center

Asian woman calling claiming to be from BT Openreach, clearly calling from a call centre but this is a mobile number! When I queried if this call was genuine the woman kept saying I sould "improve my pronounciation", Told her I was unconvinced the call was genuine and hung up.

I had a phone call from this number today (25/02/2022-17:17) (0161-520-1872 !!!) The person on the line asked for me by name. Which seem very odd to me. As this is a number that I did not know. Contacted me by a dating app and tried to make me sign up at a very suspicious online trading account platform with 1% reputation, luckily I searched for it before clicking on his link. Safe number - Life Insurance broker. Did my insurance a while back. Called me to review a couple of years afterwards hence why I googles the number. They're a ligitamte firm and were excellent with me and the arrangements. Definitely not a scam or dodgy number.

Fraud / Scam............... States they're from BT with alarming call that your router is faulty and that your internet line is public. Then starts to asks questions about the lights on router, who uses internet, even knew home address, at that point I hung up. I contacted BT - they do not have any such number listed in their network, also they confirmed no calls were made to line from themselves.
