received this call on a number of occasions,when not at home

This number has called a number of times in the last two weeks. When answered, it is an automated voice purporting to be BT, which states that our internet will be disconnected today and offering two return call options which I am fairly sure are cost traps. We don t have BT internet. On hanging up, I called the number back and it rang but was not answered.

Had this number, 01619390228 call me a few times recently, they don t let the phone ring very long, have never left a voice message and on trying to call the number I get an engaged tone, will try to get to my phone quicker next time to answer, reckon it s a scam call, shouldn t be allowed !! My telephone number shouldn t be given out by any anyone except me !!

Had a call from this number, identified itself as Humberside Police to my call barring service but then cut off when I tried to answer. Line went dead when tried to recall. Called police, they had no record of anyone trying to ring my number nor did they recognise this 56677 number. Suspicious, also nasty if it is a scam, as I am now worried about whether or not the police are trying to contact me for genuine reasons. They phoned twice Fri 10/10/14. First call I answered but the line was dead i.e. Silent call. Second time I ignored in then 1471 said it was 01702 318818. Like "fed up" below when I rang it was a short message saying they were Independent Market Research then the call was cut off. Complained to FCO but they say there is nothing they can do at the moment.

Keeps ringing constant. Done a car insurance check online a few days ago. Coincidence or what.. Possible passing on details to these ambulance chasers. BLOCK THEM
