Like many others, very rarely get calls to my landline. When I do, it s always Indians telling me I ve been in a car accident. I usually go along with it for giggles. I have yet to figure out exactly what they expect to scam from you. This time though it was a lady and I could hear multiple men in the background saying the same thing she was saying to me, to other people. I recommend making up elaborate stories for your own entertainment if you re not annoyed by these people yet.

Recorded message saying BT & that internet would be disconnected within 24hrs unless press 1 to speak to someone. Luckily my elderly mother who they called is pretty cautious about scams and checked with me. I got her to do 1471 & googled the number finding various reports of similar on BT forum.

Called 4 times in one day! I thought about calling back but glad I didn t! I google every unknown number that calls me now. As of late, I am getting unknown calls every other day. Had a call this morning from a man claiming to work for a company called "First Pass", asking about an RTA I was supposed to have been involved in. I asked how he got my details and requested that they be deleted from their data-base. I have never been in an RTA, and am on TPS to prevent cold-callers. He persisted in trying to obtain more information from me and when I refused to answer, he hung up. If they call again, I shall report them to Ofcom.

As everybody else said, an indian man called with lots of background noise claiming to be from Talktalk. He said there was a problem with the internet running slowly. Had I noticed this?
