Just received a call from this number asking if we take American Express - I advised no and asked what company they were from assuming it was a customer. He just said he was exploring opportunities for points on his cards. This number appears to be associated with American Express but it would be nice if they were honest about the reason for their call. Call back not possible as I would have asked to be removed from their database.

They began calling last year and I blocked them. Then they call from a different number. They started from a London number 020 something and then they began calling from my town 01308 294566. The last time was 25/02/16. I called the number back but an automated voice told me it was not an important financial matter and hung up. I m a disabled pensioner. It is either an educated young man or a young woman who tries to keep me on the phone and continues to ask me about accidents. I hung up on her.

The recorded message says that they have been trying to contact you and that a legal action case has been opened against you and you must dial 1 immediately to speak to your case officer in a threatening sort of computer generated delivery. Just ignore it or report it via https://ico.org.uk/ and/or www.actionfraud.police.uk/

Call from Amazon. Told to go online and check emails because somebody was taking £700 from my account. I said no and rang off. Called again wanting to know why I rang off and to get on the computer.
