Female caller with an Asian accent rang from this number twice today. Said she was from Benefits UK. I asked who Benefits UK is, and she replied "A company", and wanted to ask me some questions, which would only take a couple of minutes. I replied that I do not answer questions over the phone, and she hung up. A couple of hours later, the number rang again, and my daughter answered. She told the caller that our number is ex directory and that we are TPS registered. Again, the caller hung up.
I receive calls all the time but nobody is on the other end...

SCAM Someone called “David” called trying to sell me a mobile phone contract. iPhone 13 pro max, 24 months with unlimited data, minutes and texts. For £40 a month. When enquired, came up with nonsense which made no sense. Asked for network provider, my name, and starting asking family names. Of course gave fake names and realised I knew they were scammers. Swearing dialogue commenced, said they were from Sri Lanka which seems nonsense. Accent sounded Indian. Called back on different number

Calls from this number are not a scam and your details will have been passed over by the Job Centre Work Coach to the Adviser. Ppi credit agent, told not interested 5 times, still continue to ask if I have had any texts or voicemails when asked what s it to do with them they get angry an then say well have you checked your credit file, when told one last time I m not interested the woman said fine an hung up Don t waste time answering to them
SCAM - They claim to be National Insurance reporting that you've had a case of identity theft. The voice is automated but the number is obviously a persona/basic phone number.
When voicemail kicked in the caller immediately hung up.
I have been advised by HMRC ( number from gov.uk) that 020 7898 3703 is a fraudulent number.
Said "I m (muffled name) calling from (muffled) finance, how are you". nNo one I know or have heard of so assume phishing scam.

SCAM 01417298573 After initial silence, caller said his name was John and he was my local energy adviser in my area. I asked where he had got my number from as mine was X-Directory and he shouldn’t have it. As I was asking him to delete it he kept forcibly talking over me. I hung him. Blocked his number with BT. Do not give anyone on this number any information.
