SCAM - silent caller
I had a call from this number where a somewhat threatening female voice informed me that criminal charges were about to be brought against me. I'm a 74 year old female who, while maybe not quite fitting the description of an angel, has not committed any crimes, heinous or otherwise. Were I the type who was easily intimidated I might have pressed 1 to see further details but luckily I'm not so I didn't. I'd love to punch this so and so right in the kisser but that WOULD be criminal - but deserved!!
Rang left no message, but very similar to 07482 559264 which was a call with an automated voice purportedly from the Inland Revenue which I blocked.

These numbers from 2800-2900 are a call centre acting on behalf of various companies chasing accounts, as soon as you confirm your details they hang up and pass the info to the company you owe and then the company harass you as they know its your number
"Bradley" called and asked for our payroll office regarding an outstanding invoice for "Orbis" - none of which related to our business so when I asked what it was regarding he advised he deals in foreign currency trading. Avoid.

So I stated he was a scam trying to get my details and he hung up on me...Well if that isnt a clear indication that they are up to no good, I dont know what is. Best advice I can give is BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK the muppets. They disputed my PPI Claim as they offer Repayment Option, only changed the name in 2008 so got company sorting it now. Had my card 11 years so know I m owed thousands & Im not payin em a penny more till sorted. My hubby paid approx 680 over 7 years on his natwest & got ?2,196 back. It s worth checking everyone, we couldn t believe it as his limit was only ?800 & a business card. Good luck & keep blocking...

Very plausible good English speaker from Call Prevention Service claiming to be working with the official Telephone Preference Service. Gave a Bournemouth address and a contact name. Selling something to block calls at about ?1.95 a month. There is no such number. You can pay BT same amount for similar service. Suspect also data gathering. I have reported to TPS

Have received several calls to both a Vodafone and BT mobile number. Irritating sounding English woman called Julie, who requests information regarding the car accident someone had at the address. Obviously seeking information to scam folk out of, probably money. Reporting yo ofcom as this is a disgusting trap and highly annoying!!
