Call today supposed to be from BT telling me my IP address was public and hey would make it private. 2 men in what sounded like a room full of people spoke to me. I sked where the were calling from and they gave me an actual BT address in London. I asked the guy if he was Indian and yes he was. I told him the 1st person I spoke with was India too. I asked him if this was a scam. I then heard someone say drop the connection. So looks like a scam to me.
I booked a male stripper in York from this number last weekend I got what looked like a generated curtesy text a few days later asking for feedback and had not saved the number so had to research and yes its called UK Strippers and Kissograms and I think based in or near York

02045384523 has called me on my mobile about 10 times within 15 minutes, I answered just one time, no one replied back to me but I could hear mass talking in the background, hung up within seconds.
I answered but said nothing. Caller then went into prepared speech.......local energy advisor, assume you're the homeowner etc., etc. I ended the call, called back and the number was invalid.

Message on my answerphone to say a money transfer had been made from my card (did not say which) in excess of £1000 which was unusual. Same message, and same voice, as made to my phone from 01491576783 yesterday so looks like a scam gang doing the rounds. Watch out.

He said they were having some problems which are affecting my internet connection but the call then disconnected. I've been with Virgin for many years and they've never once phoned me when there's been problems in the past. Some indian guy claiming to be from a quality center clqiming that I had registered at some trading platform. I was absolutely sure I hadn't registered on the site by mistake as all my information was there. Funny enough he could not give me the date of my supposed registration! Obvious scam, claiming to be from EE retaining department. If you google the number it comes up as a Noodle bar in London. The guy on the call couldn't stop stumbling over his words when I called him out on things and then laughed at me when I said I knew it was a scam.
