Very abrupt chap called Charles said he was from Domestic Appliances and would not let me get a word in edgeways. He said my appliances were no longer covered as my insurance had run out. I asked him which appliance had recently lapsed insurance - he wouldn't answer just said "are all your appliances in working order. I said I already had appliance cover - he put the phone down.
Vague sounds of heavy breathing as I indicated they could stick their boiler recycling scheme (or whatever) up their ar5e. Said nothing so I hung up. Called back six times in rapid succession but still silent, to some people this is a job?

very dodgy! I have had several missed calls so when I answered a guy with a northern accent asked for myself (although had my maiden name and I have been married for 6years!) then he said he was calling regarding my insurance up for renewal and asked if that was correct... there was something very dodgy about this guy though as he kept repeating himself and was also laughing!!! I just apologised and said I was at work and cut him off. I have since blocked the number!

SCAM- got a call purportedly from Car Phone Warehouse offering amazing deal. Checked it out with Carphone number on the internet and deal did not exist and this number not one of theirs.
a lady said I had 5 free tickets for euro millions for tonight, I asked politely for my number to be renoved as im not interested. she then said" well its a chance to win free money, im pretty sure you would be interested if you actually listened to what im telling you" she was quite aggressive! I said im only interested in listening to her removing my number. her reply was " well you already said that, I can understand english you know. so no need to be so f***ing rude!" This is a Scam currently being perpetrated against UK residents. A recorded voice tells you that the call comes from your bank and £600 has been taken from your credit card, if you did not authorise this then press 1. I have confirmed with both my bank and the bank used by my business and both are aware of this Scam. There is no name available but I think the business could well be called "The Bar Stewards".

Like others used Anglian in the past. They call every month from different numbers even when you tell them you don?t want anything. They came round last week because ?they were in the area?. Very annoying. They sound desperate and for that I?m sad.

From another site it's a Cardiff code and a recorded voice suggests it's an hmrc source, but number it says to ring is a 0161 No. Advice is don't ring.
