Sales call, said were from O2. When asked how she had obtained my number, she was evasive. Asian accent, so thought it was from overseas. I am subscribed to the telephone preference service, so should not be getting marketing or sales calls. I cut them off and blocked.

SCAM Received a text from this number supposedly from Sky. It stated they were unable to take my payment this month and my services will be stopped. It even provided a link to update my details. I haven’t had Sky since 2007 so I hope they haven’t been able to take a payment! :D Don’t click on the link, it’s not Sky; it’s a scam looking to get your bank details.

Received this call today. It came approximately 30 minutes after a call from a Cambridge number 01223 931995. The Cambridge number went dead on answering. The 01330 563426 number allowed me to answer, and an automated message said it was the HMRC and that I would be fined. You could press 1 to talk to an agent. I hung up. You cannot ring back. Man, claiming to be Jonathan Carter from Microsoft, rang from 01142998909. During the call the line dropped and when he rang back it was from this number. He said hackers had taken over my computer in the pass few days. He tried to persuade me to download Anydesk which gives access to my computer on the pretext that it would remove the hackers. When I refused he said he would have to block my computer from the broadband and I would have to come to Microsoft in Reading to have it unblocked

They have blocked the employer from withdrawing and also the group Whatsapp which is suspected to be a fraudulent platform. How did they get my details when this is not my phone it's paid for by somebody else 250 miles away. The mind boggles at how much scammery people think they can get away with. I've forwarding it onto the police. Let the scammer(s) live for the rest of their lives looking over their shoulder or from behind bars.
