This number called today and I didn t have time to Google it before answering. Said they were from American Express, only asked for half my postcode and they knew the type of card I held and how long I have had it. He was trying to sell an identity/credit rating protection (Platinum protect plus I believe). He was polite, when I said I wasn t interested he was pleasant. This people keep on calling every day, asking for personal details. I never give any , and now blocked that number. If there was a remote chanche they are from British gas, I ve should receive a letter first.

Had calls from this number on 3 occasions in the space of 2 hrs to have who ever it is hung up when I answered the call. I have no idea who it is but it's annoying!

called three times in 25 mins notleaving a voicemail. Tend to agree with others that this is a likely sign of an agressive, sales commision driven call centre who will never give up if you answer them

call from lady first then a gent with non english tongue saying my pc was running slow they could fix this problem for me. I said no and had 19 more calls even tho i have blocked the number. scam

A few minutes after my last nuisance call, which was from the Talk Talk impersonators, I got this one - from the p.p.i. pests using a number they had not used for me before. Only a couple of days ago their recorded message was saying it was their final attempt to contact me, but telling lies is habitual for them. I estimate I have had a hundred calls from these people. I look forward to the day they are prosecuted. They are making money out of people s naivety so I hope they get fined heavily.

Or maybe they just work in the UK? I too didn t get far in the conversation before this actually nice lady hung up. I was also just curious about how they got my number. Easy answer really but hanging up to me was a sign that perhaps they aren t so legitimate. Oh well.

Multiple calls, always hang up either on answering or before having chance to answer, usually only 2-3 rings. Most anooyin and disturbing to a single female living alone.

SCAM Automated voice that pretended it was from HMRC and I had an anomaly with my tax. Wanted me to connect.

Received a call today on my landline. Caller was brusk, impolite and there was lityle or no preamble. Asked me questions about aims and values of Labour Party, why I became a member and reg d voter. Clearly knew that I was one. Asked if I d received ballot. I said I had and had voted. Didn t say for who. Asked if I had voted Lab at last GE or someone else. The conversation was VERY impersonal and only after the call did I think that it was a call I shouldnt have received and questions I should not

Couldn t even say my name properly. Rudely talked over me with his script about answering a survey which would take 40 seconds. Hung up when i asked where he d got my number.
